This website contains practical materials to assist with the implemention of Positive Behavior Supports at both a school and district level.  Materials may be freely used by all schools and districts in the process of implementing PBS.  We ask, however, that all source information remain in tact.

PBS Implementation ManualsThe district training manual has been completely restructured to provide school PBS Teams more support and resources. Phase One and Phase Two offer step-by-step support for the first two years of implementation.

Framework for a Positive School-wide Discipline Program Divided into sixteen main categories, this three stage framework will allow sites to document progress and record annotations as teams advance through the MODEL Framework.

Power Point Presentations More than 20 PowerPoint presentations have been created to train all staff. Topic areas include: Consequences (Part I & II), Referral forms, Understanding Environmental and Functional Factors, Verbal De-escalation, and much more.

SuperMODEL Newsletters & Brochures -The quarterly newsletter provides information and showcases the positive school-wide changes being implemented in SBCUSD.  Brochures have been created to inform students and parents about their role in implementing PBS.

School-wide Behavior of the WeekEighteen role-plays and lessons are available to teach school-wide expectations. Each lesson takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

Developmentally Appropriate Social Skills Instruction (School-wide) – In addition to adopting a School-wide Behavior of the Week, SBCUSD PBS schools are instructing all students in developmentally appropriate social skills.  Instruction occurs daily at the elementary level and weekly at the middle school level.
