What's the purpose of this website?
This website was designed to provide a forum for the distribution of practical PBS materials (documents, trainings, implementation manuals, etc.). We are happy to post PBS materials sent to us and will gladly retain all original source information -- just as we expect for any materials downloaded from this site.
Positive Behavior Supports in SBCUSD
Suzy Johns & Jacquelin Patrick, two San Bernardino City Unified School District school psychologists, began building & implementing Positive Behavior Supports in 2003. This website contains many of the training and support materials produced throughout that process. PBS began as Managing On-Site Discipline for Effective Learning (MODEL) in SBCUSD but is now just referred to as PBS or, The Blue Strand.
This website is dedicated to the support of districts and school-based teams in the process of building multi-tiered behavior supports (Positive Behavior Supports, PBS). Please look around the website and make sure to visit us often as we try to post documents and trainings as we produce them.
